Bestevaer "Katharos" is the little sister of "Bestevear 2", Gerard Dykstra's own boat. The Bestevaer 49ST is a swift cruiser with elegant, classical lines. The fine, relatively slim hull represents the ideal compromise between speed centered weight distribution and pleasant motion in seaway. The deck lay out is designed for ease of handling by a small crew. Due to its moderate draught, smaller ports are not excluded from a cruise. The practical and comfortable lay out of the Bestevaer 49ST below decks invites to live on board for prolonged periods.
