This 152' schooner is a true 'spirit of tradition', Windrose of Amsterdam is designed for high performance with a classic look. Long overhangs, classic skylights and the schooner rig with bowsprit, she looks like a real big class thirties classic, but the lightweight alustar construction and carbon fibre spars, together with a 4.3m deep fin keel with bulb makes Windrose of Amsterdam very competitive in classic yacht regatta's. 8 tons of water ballast each side will further improve her upwind performance.
Windrose of Amsterdam made headlines around the world after breaking the Transatlantic crossing record twice both in 2002 and 2005. She won the ShowBoats Award for Highest Technical Achievement following her launch, for the attention to detail in her sophisticated engineering systems.
She can carry up to 10 guests on charter. Interior design by Dykstra Naval Architects & first owner
